Nice Compatibility with DisplayLink Adapter but Ghosts EDID

I use this pair of adapters for extending VGA coming out of a DisplayLink adapter plugged into a RPi 4. Use it to mirror a surveillance display from the basement to the first floor. So far so good. I can connect a mouse to the distant unit and the mouse moved on the screen without lagging. The local unit communicates with RPi 4 as if it is a mouse and a keyboard. I don't need an audio extension, so I haven't tried the audio jack.

The adapter does not pass the EDID from the distant unit. This is fine as the DisplayLink driver provides one way to write a backup EDID file on Linux system. Would buy other solutions from TESmart if needed.
